LOCAL NOVA SCOTIA ARTIST WORKS WITH MARITIME
THEMES
Nova
Scotia is known for its magnificent scenery, bright colours and quaint
fishing coves. Nova Scotia artists, with the vibrant life of
their home province in their blood, are world renowned for their
ability to capture this special beauty for others to enjoy.
Deborah Sponagle-Taylor is one such artist who exemplifies
this talent.

Most
of the paintings you are about to view on this site are painted on
unique, one of a kind fishing boat pieces, sourced by the artist
locally. Presenting her art on such materials in this way
greatly enhances its maritime base and distinctiveness. Her
work, already outstanding in its own right, sets itself apart from the
more standard, rectangular presentations of other artists.

Deborah accepts commissions at her discretion and in the spring of 2004 she was commissioned by the International Theater Festival to do nine paintings to be given as awards to the actors and directors that were in Liverpool, many from far away countries. In the past number of years her paintings have become sought after and now hang all over the world as well as in many Maritime homes. Feel the Maritimes in all of her work.
